ABOUT

AURELIA IS A SOUND STUDIO ON A MISSION TO MAKE THE WORLD SOUND BETTER.

Whether we are working on an interactive art installation, feature film score, hiphop track or museum audio guide, team Aurelia create experiences that truly transport listeners.

Our work has featured around the globe and we have collaborated with organisations and creators including The Metropolitan Museum, Skywalker Sound, Somerset House, The BBC, Tribeca Film Festival, Time Magazine and The British Library.

We are trusted partners for organisations and artists who are looking for sound that truly tells a story. While we work with the latest technology we are also specialists in working with historical and archival content as well as sounds from the natural World.

OUR SERVICES

SOUND DESIGN & MIXING

Cutting-edge sound design and mixing is at the core of all our projects. Whether you require some additional SFX elements for a video production or a soundtrack for an entire ad or theatre show, we have the in-house capability and experience to deliver every time.

This aspect of our work is both studio and location based. We pride ourselves on meticulous attention to detail, which regularly sees us out in the field capturing sounds that come together to create truly unique and vivid soundscapes. We have a large network or VoiceOver artists and studio partnerships for projects which require dialogue.

COMPOSITION & MUSIC PRODUCTION

Alongside our partners at world class facility Sorting Room Studios, we create bespoke music and soundtracks across all genres of music. Whether your project requires a gritty techno track or a beautiful multi-layered string arrangement, we can compose and record a stunning piece of music.

We have a large network of instrumentalists and vocalists who we draw upon to contribute performances to our projects. The studio has a huge range of modern technology alongside classic vintage equipment, to deliver music and soundtracks which can both emulate legendary records and stand-up against the latest production techniques.

SOUND INSTALLATION DESIGN & BUILD

Aurelia are specialists in immersive audio for both loudspeaker and headphone based installations. We have delivered installation projects across a range of settings in theatres, museums, festivals, and other cultural spaces. Often, we are brought on board to produce an entire audio event from the creative content right through to the experience design and implementation.

The best results arise when a holistic approach is taken to installations so that the content and location are in conversation with each other. We often approach this as though the room or venue is itself a performer in the experience. Aurelia’s installation work has featured in the Metropolitan Museum, The British Library, Somerset House, The Royal Academy of Art and Skywalker Sound.

MIXED REALITY & EMERGING TECHNOLOGY

Aurelia was established as an early pioneer in the use of immersive audio for virtual and mixed reality. Having spent several years working across the VR industry in Los Angeles and San Francisco we have developed unique skills in creating audio experiences that support mixed reality experiences and emerging methods of storytelling. We can deliver audio assets for integration on all major game engine platforms and if required we have a range of integration partners.
